Armando García González
Training and professional experience
    Born in Havana. Graduate in Education, specialised in Biological Sciences, Havana. Lecturer at the Instituto Pedagógico Superior Enrique José Varona.
    Former lecturer on Biological Sciences at several educational institutions in Havana. Research scientist at the Cuban Academia de Ciencias, at the Centro de Historia de la Ciencia Carlos J. Finlay (1984-1996). For a number of years, he was a member of the editorial advisory board of the Asclepio journal. He is a member of the editorial advisory board of Teatrum Naturae and has enjoyed scholarship stays at the Instituto de Historia of the CSIC.
    He has written various books, scientific monographs and book chapters as well as over thirty research essays published in both Spanish and international journals. He has written more than sixty entries for Encyclopedias -biographies and scientific subjects- as well as indexes in journals and reference books. He translated several science books and lectured at diverse institutions in Europe and America. Similarly, he has participated in several scientific events as a writing contributor.
Research experience
        He is a Science Historian and worked for twelve years as a Researcher of the Academia de Ciencias de Cuba. He has joined forces with various scientists at the Instituto de Historia of the CSIC to conduct research into History of Science and History of Cuba and Spain as a long-term contribution.
